Indianapolis, Indiana Cheating Spouse/Infidelity Investigators

It's an unfortunate fact of life that people sometimes stray from their marriage. If you're reading this page, you probably never thought it could happen to you. But it has. Or at least you suspect it has and you need to know. Below is what to expect should our agency be hired.

DO YOU THINK MY SPOUSE IS CHEATING?

If you're asking this question, there may already be a problem. We catch the suspected spouse cheating on over 90% of the cases that we take. Is this because cheating is rampant? No.  It's because by the time someone is ready to hire a private investigator, they often already have deep-seated suspicions or they have indirect knowledge and are looking for independent corroboration.

WHAT ARE THE SIGNS OF A CHEATING SPOUSE?

Signs of a cheating spouse can be found all over the internet.  Here are our own, based solely on first hand experience with these types of investigations.
  1. The cheating spouse's cell phone records almost always indicate there is a problem. In the case of a male cheating, his credit card statements can also indicate a problem.
  2. The marriage is in trouble before the suspicions of an affair came up. Simply put, happy, communicative marriages do not produce affairs - unhappy or "flat" ones do.
  3. The cheating spouse has windows of time when he/she is unaccounted for.  Phone calls are not answered during this time and a later explanation of where they were is self-authenticating.
  4. The cheating spouse has a prior history of infidelity. We often see that "years ago" there was a problem that was resolved.
  5. The cheating spouse has a public "friendship" with a member of the opposite sex. They admit to being "good friends" and make no effort to hide the relationship. This way, if spotted together, they have a cover story. In reality, the relationship is sexual and often emotional, as well.
  6. There has been a "tip" from a friend, acquaintance or family member indicating that an inappropriate relationship is occurring.

HOW MUCH TIME WILL BE REQUIRED FOR THE INVESTIGATION?

The amount of time required is based on several variables including -
  1.  How often does the cheating occur?  If it's just once a month, that will be harder to detect than if it is several times a week.
  2.  How often is the investigator out?  Obviously, if we're not conducting the surveillance when the cheating occurs, we won't see it.
  3. How much proof does our client require?  It is very common that after we catch a spouse cheating, the client wants us to document a pattern by continuing the surveillance. As a general rule of thumb, we advise at least five separate periods of surveillance at different times on different days to get a feel for what is happening. Almost never is a cheating spouse caught on the first night of an investigation - patience is required.

HOW WILL I KNOW IF MY SPOUSE IS NOT CHEATING?

Proving a negative is sometimes difficult and based on opinion, not fact. Generally, if the suspected spouse has been followed several times, has had the opportunity to cheat during this time and did not, we would advise our client that there is no evidence of cheating.

WHAT IS THE PROCESS?

It starts with a phone call where your matter is discussed in brief with our investigator. We can discuss what the investigation would entail in terms of time and expense after getting some basic facts. When a plan is agreed upon, we would require a signed contract as well as a retainer to fund the investigation.

WHAT IS YOUR SUCCESS RATE?

If you define success as whether we catch the spouse cheating or we clear him or her, our success rate in the past year was 100%. We never had a case during this time where we failed to determine what was really going on. As stated above, the percentage of time when the person is caught cheating is extremely high - well over 90%.

IS THE INVESTIGATION CONFIDENTIAL?

Under Indiana and Ohio law, our investigations are required to be 100% confidential. We will be completely discreet with your situation and provide you with clear, fact-based reports on exactly what is seen during our surveillance. To the extent that video or photographs can be discreetly obtained, we will provide these as well.

WHAT ARE THE COSTS?

The costs involved vary because every investigation varies.  Every client and their specific situation is different.  After a free initial consultation, we are able to provide our clients with an estimated cost to find the answers that they seek.

Indianapolis/Cincinnati Private Investigation - Experienced Surveillance Investigators

Often, surveillance is mistakenly considered an easy task. Surveillance is, in fact, one of the most complicated types of investigations out there. Many private investigators offer surveillance as a service. Factually, very few investigators know how to properly perform surveillance. Here is a list of factors to ask and examine before you hire a surveillance investigator.

1.  License - ask for and verify the investigator’s license. Most states require a license to operate as a private detective. States such as Indiana and Ohio require three years full time experience before one can even apply for a license.

2.  Insurance - verify the investigator has appropriate insurance that covers surveillance investigations.

3.  Equipment - ask the surveillance investigator about their surveillance vehicle and equipment. An experienced investigator will have a bank of equipment and suitable surveillance vehicles.

4.  Associations - a surveillance investigator who belongs to an association usually has more resources, more education, and more experience. Professional associations supply a surveillance investigator with networks, resources, and education.

5.  Experience - this is one of the most important questions. Ask the investigator what surveillance experience he or she has. Ask for examples of cases they have worked. Ask if they have ever lost a subject during surveillance. If an investigator tells you they have never lost someone during a surveillance, they either have no experience or are simply not telling the truth. Many things occur during a surveillance that hamper or stop the surveillance. It is impossible for any experienced surveillance investigator to not have lost a subject during surveillance.

These are just a few things to look at when considering hiring a surveillance investigator. It is equally important that you speak with the investigator. Intuition is a key element when looking into hiring a surveillance investigator. If what the investigator is offering does not sound right, it probably isn't.

Surveillance Pays Huge Dividends In Private Investigation Work - Frontline Investigations & Surveillance LLC

There is nothing a cop, prosecutor, or judge love to hear more than, "I have video."  Video evidence is indisputable.  If it's on video, it is what it is.  More and more people are starting to place video cameras on their property.  Video is a great deterrent too.  If I am thinking about robbing a home or vehicle on a particular street and I see a house with video cameras and one without, which one do you think I'm going to?  You're right, the one without video.  Video is not only a great deterrent, it's a tool law enforcement uses to solve crime.

Your small business has no camera over the register or back stock room - what is to stop your employee from taking a little here and there?  It adds up over time as recent studies have shown.  They say internal loss, meaning the associates of the store, cause more loss than that caused by non-employees.

I have a lot of belongings and enjoy them all but there is no property that comes close to the value of my children.  I do not care how long I know somebody or how much I trust someone.  If my children are left in someone else's care, I want to know what is going on.  "Nanny cams" are perfect and when placed in your home they are hidden.  If all you see is someone taking great care of your home and children - great!  Frontline Investigations & Surveillance LLC would love to report that positive outcome and give you that peace of mind.  However, if something is not going well - whether it's a person ignoring your child's cry for attention while they sit on the phone chatting, or something more serious - you need to know.  Don't wait until it's too late.  Contact us today to discuss your needs in detail.
